For almost 300 years, lighthouses have been sending out a beacon to guide weary sailors through storms and rough seas to a safe harbor. In looking back over the past ten years of the financial markets, there have been plenty of rough seas and even a few severe storms—including the “Perfect Storm” in 2008, when we experienced a global meltdown in all three of the primary financial markets: stocks, bonds, and real estate.

Our primary goal at Hartmann Financial Advisors is to serve as the beacon that will help guide our clients through future rough seas and major storms to the ultimate safe harbor: a financially secure retirement. Like the lighthouse, we cannot guarantee anyone smooth seas and clear weather, but we will not waiver in our commitment to do everything in our power to guide our clients to that ultimate safe harbor.

My name is Don Hartmann, and I am the founder and president of Hartmann Financial Advisors. I am delighted that you have chosen to visit our website, and I hope you will find it both informative and functional.

We have designed our site to provide the answers and tools you need to plan a financially secure retirement, including more than 20 financial calculators that can help you determine the cost of every aspect of a successful retirement. In addition, you will have the opportunity to fully explore our services, meet our qualified staff, and learn about charitable planning opportunities, as well as how to attend one of our retirement planning workshops.

You can also get a good idea of how we communicate and interact with our clients throughout the year by reviewing the latest issues of The Beacon, our newsletter, by clicking on the special links found on the bottom of this page.

The Benefits of Having a Retirement Financial Advisor

According to a recent survey, 85% of retirees had someone else manage all of their retirement plan benefits throughout their working career, only to have this awesome responsibility thrust upon them the day they retired and their pension plan was distributed to them in the form of a Rollover Individual Retirement Account (IRA).

While there are many brokers or financial planners who would love to help you invest your retirement nest egg, we believe retirement planning involves a great deal more than simply investing your money in a few good stocks, bonds, or mutual funds.

Today, more than ever, retirees can benefit greatly from the assistance of a financial advisor who will work closely with them to develop a retirement portfolio that is properly diversified in an effort to mitigate market volatility and produce consistent income distributions, with the goal of preserving their assets for as long as they live.
